Wonderfully expressive Sancerre with crisp citrus and delicate floral aromas complemented by riper, exotic fruit notes. A finely chiselled palate with lovely acidity, perfect as an aperitif or with seafood. One of the best Sancerres I have ever tasted.
André Dezat made this domaine famous more than 40 years ago. Recently, the third generation of the family running the domaine decided to go their separate ways, amicably splitting it in two. This outstanding Sancerre is made by Arnaud and Stéphanie, brother and sister, who own parcels of vines scattered around the village of Verdigny and have just built striking new cellars close to the original domaine. The fruit comes from vines averaging 35 years old. The other half of the original domaine is run by cousin Firmin Dezat, together with his parents Simon and Nadine. They have stayed in the original André Dezat cellars.
