A fruity and well-balanced Grenache produced in the southwest of France. Bright red colour with purplish reflections and a powerful nose of violets and red fruits. Very tasty in the mouth with raspberry and plum aromas. Medium-bodied on the palate, soft and juicy. Perfect with pasta dishes in tomato sauce, oriental and Thai dishes, or drinking on its own. A great weekday wine.
Modern, authentic and stylish, the wines of Terres Fidèles are crafted by Fergal Tynan MW to express the spirit of the place that they’re made – “L’esprit du lieu”. Félicette is made in the South-West of France, between Narbonne and Beziers, with its hot and dry Mediterranean climate influence. Soils are sandy and silty as well as a chalk/clay mix on the hillside vineyards. No oak treatment whatsoever – just clean bright fruit.
As for the name and the label, it’s inspired by Félicette, France’s cosmic cat, who on 24 October 1963, jetted 130 miles above Earth on a Véronique AG1 rocket, soaring high above the Sahara Desert. She returned just 15 minutes later, already a decorated heroine for her nation.
