Cantina Tramin, Pinot Bianco, Alto Adige, Italy 2021

Greenish yellow to light yellow, with light scents of green apple. On the palate it has a complex nutty flavour and hints of green leaves. Nicely balanced between richness of texture and bright acidity. An excellent accompaniment to fish or white meat.

Ayala, Rosé Majeur, Aÿ, Champagne NV

This excellent rosé Champagne has a delicate cherry hue with a hint of copper and a fine and persistent mousse. The nose displays aromas of red fruits (strawberries, raspberries and morello cherries) together with nuances of spice. On the palate, it’s light, fresh and well balanced, with a rich, lasting finish of red gooseberry and raspberry. Feminine and generous.

2 x Zevenwacht Estate, Tin Mine Red, Stellenbosch, South Africa 2017

A good value, flavoursome South African Rhône-style blend. Smoky black plum and cranberry, with peppery spice. Rich, with persistent yet supple tannins, balanced by refreshing acidity – a multi-layered wine. Excellent with a hearty stew or leg of venison.

2 x Chateau de Campuget, ‘1753’ Syrah, Costières de Nîmes, France 2017

Classic Syrah nose with a very intense fruit-driven character, this classy wine shows notes of liquorice and violet complemented by a hint of dark chocolate. Rich black fruits are enveloped by a smooth and velvety texture through to a lovely fresh finish. Made without any oak influence and with no added sulphites to allow the purity of fruit shine through.
