A mixed case offering ideal seasonal drinking for this month.

Baglio Gibellina, U. Passimiento, DOC Sicily, Italy 2021

From old vineyards located between 300m to 600m above sea level, this Sicilian Nero d’Avola/Frappato blend has an intense red fruit on the nose, displaying lots of red berries. It is warm and full-bodied with harmonious acidity and smooth and elegant tannins. Fantastic with pasta and mild cheeses but so versatile it will go with pretty much anything.

Cantina Tramin, Pinot Bianco, Alto Adige, Italy 2021

Greenish yellow to light yellow, with light scents of green apple. On the palate it has a complex nutty flavour and hints of green leaves. Nicely balanced between richness of texture and bright acidity. An excellent accompaniment to fish or white meat.

Cantina Tramin, Gewürztraminer, Alto Adige, Italy 2021

Straw-yellow colour with golden reflections. A fruit-forward wine with an array of tropical fruits and spicy notes, accompanied by the typical scent of roses. On the palate, it has a lush sweetness, complemented by a juicy acidity to keep it in balance. It has a long finish with hints of ripe fruit and spices.

San Marzano, ‘Timo’ Vermentino, Puglia, Italy 2023

Delicate white floral aromas combine with notes of thyme and rosemary in this elegant, refreshing and mineral wine from an excellent Puglia cooperative.

San Marzano, ‘II Pumo’, Salice Salentino, Puglia, Italy 2021

Negroamaro and Malvasia Nera combine to provide an intense bouquet of cherry, savoury plum and spicy notes combined with an attractive hint of Mediterranean herbs. Full-bodied with a generous flavour and a lovely fresh finish. A real taste of the Italian south.

San Marzano, ‘Talo’, Primitivo di Manduria, Puglia, Italy 2022

A rich and opulent Primitivo with vibrant flavours of stewed red peppers and juicy brambly fruit on a vanilla and cinnamon background packing a punch of flavour. Maturation in French and American wood barrels adds to the depth of flavour.
